Job Summary

The Play Buddy role is at the heart of Titter Totter, ensuring that every child and family experiences joyful, engaging, and meaningful play. Play Buddies actively interact with children and caregivers, lead activities, and foster a welcoming and dynamic environment.

This role is ideal for individuals who love working with young children, have a playful and energetic personality, and are committed to creating an enriching experience for families.

Key responsibilities
A. Interactive play engagement
  • Engage enthusiastically with children and families on the play floor.
  • Circulate in assigned play areas, responding promptly to visitor needs.
  • Use creative play techniques to encourage exploration and learning.
B. Safety and supervision
  • Maintain a safe and secure play environment at all times.
  • Monitor children’s engagement and interactions, ensuring positive experiences.
  • Enforce safety policies and play area rules while ensuring a fun atmosphere.
C. Customer engagement and service
  • Assist visitors by providing information on activities, and programs.
  • Create a warm, friendly, and inclusive space for all families.
  • Support school groups and guide them through structured play experiences.
D. Facility and play area maintenance
  • Keep play areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Ensure all materials and equipment are in working condition.
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures for the venue.
E. Team collaboration and support
  • Work closely with other Play Buddies, Workshop Facilitators, and Operations Team.
  • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support special events, themed activities, and birthday celebrations.

Required qualifications and Experience

Education High school diploma or equivalent (coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related fields is a plus).
Experience Prior experience working with young children in a play or educational setting preferred.
Communication skills Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
Creativity
and engagement
Ability to lead interactive activities and games that enhance child development.
Child development
knowledge
Understanding of basic child engagement techniques and developmental play principles.
Teamwork
and collaboration
Works well in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment.
Certifications (preferred) First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Flexibility Available to work weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
